This STOPS Fatloss (Even When You’re Eating Healthy)

Did you know that even with a near-perfect diet full of fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, lean proteins, and slow-digesting carbohydrates, it’s still exceedingly common to suffer from “food intolerances” that can, and often do, STOP fat loss dead in its tracks?

Perhaps you’ve experienced the phenomenon yourself of “doing everything right” yet still struggling to shed those extra pounds.  It’s frustrating, I know…

Fortunately, research is now giving us some insights into one of the MAJOR reasons this happens:  food intolerances caused by our bodies not being able to properly digest and absorb certain foods and nutrients.

What is a food intolerance?

Unlike food allergies in which symptoms are extremely dangerous and often life-threatening (i.e. your throat closes up and you can’t breathe, etc), food intolerances manifest themselves through symptoms that are much more subtle such as bloating, gas, headaches, fatigue, and an inability to lose weight due to internal inflammation.

Often times, many folks don’t even realize that the foods they’re eating — even extremely HEALTHY foods — may be the very reason their fat loss is stuck at a stand still… and it’s all a result of food intolerances they don’t even know they have.

For example, eggs, nuts, and dairy products like milk and cheese are just several examples of otherwise very healthy foods that many folks are intolerant to.  Gluten from wheat-based foods is another huge culprit.

What to do about food intolerances

If you’re “doing everything right” yet still struggling to lose those extra pounds, it’s very likely that food intolerances and inadequate digestion are to blame.  Below are some ways you can overcome the horrifying reality that food intolerances pose, and finally begin enjoying weight loss again.

Option #1 – The “Do It Yourself” Elimination Diet

With this option, you’d eliminate foods one at a time from your diet, wait a couple of weeks, and see if it makes a difference in your fat loss results and the way you feel.  Start with the common offenders mentioned earlier (eggs, nuts, dairy, and wheat) and assess what changes occur, if any.  It’s important to only remove one food at a time otherwise you won’t know which “elimination” actually produced a favorable result.

Honestly, while this method has merit, I find it far too time consuming and drawn out to be a practical solution.  Not only that, but if you have a less-than-perfect day or a dietary slip up, you’re doomed to start all over again from scratch.

Option #2 – Food Intolerance Testing

Certain tests, such as the FoodScan Intolerance Test and ALCAT test are available to help pin-point food intolerances.  These tests, for example, are able to specifically tell you if you are sensitive to gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, or a long list of other foods.

The problem with these tests, however, is that they are extremely expensive (usually $500+ each to get done), and even then you’re still left with having to give up entire categories of foods in order to correct the problem.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of depriving myself from foods I’ve grown to enjoy, especially HEALTHY options.

Option #3 – Digestive Enzyme Supplementation (Much Easier)
