This STOPS Fatloss (Even When You’re Eating Healthy)

Did you know that even with a near-perfect diet full of fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, lean proteins, and slow-digesting carbohydrates, it’s still exceedingly common to suffer from “food intolerances” that can, and often do, STOP fat loss dead in its tracks?

Perhaps you’ve experienced the phenomenon yourself of “doing everything right” yet still struggling to shed those extra pounds.  It’s frustrating, I know…

Fortunately, research is now giving us some insights into one of the MAJOR reasons this happens:  food intolerances caused by our bodies not being able to properly digest and absorb certain foods and nutrients.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is a food intolerance?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Unlike food allergies in which symptoms are extremely dangerous and often life-threatening (i.e. your throat closes up and you can’t breathe, etc), food intolerances manifest themselves through symptoms that are much more subtle such as bloating, gas, headaches, fatigue, and an inability to lose weight due to internal inflammation.

Often times, many folks don’t even realize that the foods they’re eating — even extremely HEALTHY foods — may be the very reason their fat loss is stuck at a stand still… and it’s all a result of food intolerances they don’t even know they have.

For example, eggs, nuts, and dairy products like milk and cheese are just several examples of otherwise very healthy foods that many folks are intolerant to.  Gluten from wheat-based foods is another huge culprit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What to do about food intolerances
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you’re “doing everything right” yet still struggling to lose those extra pounds, it’s very likely that food intolerances and inadequate digestion are to blame.  Below are some ways you can overcome the horrifying reality that food intolerances pose, and finally begin enjoying weight loss again.

Option #1 – The “Do It Yourself” Elimination Diet

With this option, you’d eliminate foods one at a time from your diet, wait a couple of weeks, and see if it makes a difference in your fat loss results and the way you feel.  Start with the common offenders mentioned earlier (eggs, nuts, dairy, and wheat) and assess what changes occur, if any.  It’s important to only remove one food at a time otherwise you won’t know which “elimination” actually produced a favorable result.

Honestly, while this method has merit, I find it far too time consuming and drawn out to be a practical solution.  Not only that, but if you have a less-than-perfect day or a dietary slip up, you’re doomed to start all over again from scratch.

Option #2 – Food Intolerance Testing

Certain tests, such as the FoodScan Intolerance Test and ALCAT test are available to help pin-point food intolerances.  These tests, for example, are able to specifically tell you if you are sensitive to gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, or a long list of other foods.

The problem with these tests, however, is that they are extremely expensive (usually $500+ each to get done), and even then you’re still left with having to give up entire categories of foods in order to correct the problem.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of depriving myself from foods I’ve grown to enjoy, especially HEALTHY options.

Option #3 – Digestive Enzyme Supplementation (Much Easier)

Due to age, stress, an unbalanced diet, poor eating habits, and exposure to artificial food additives, colors, and preservatives, it is extremely common for our bodies to no longer produce the necessary amount of enzymes needed to properly digest the food we eat.

This “enzyme deficiency” is exactly what brings about the food intolerance and internal inflammation issues we just discussed, putting the brakes on fat-burning and making it nearly impossible for you to drop those stubborn pounds.

At the same time, at BioTrust we don’t feel that “elimination” diets are a realistic solution for the average person, nor do we believe that you should have to give up foods you’ve grown to love in order to lose weight.

Instead, our goal and mission is to develop PRACTICAL solutions that combat the issues we all face as body- and health-conscious individuals, such as food intolerances and the resultant fat loss plateaus and struggles that accompany them.

The solution?  BioTrust AbsorbMax™, a comprehensive blend of 16 unique digestive enzymes that help do away with food intolerances by fully breaking down the nutrients contained in any and every food you eat.

AbsorbMaxWith AbsorbMax™, there are no long, drawn out do-it-yourself “elimination” periods or expensive tests to undergo…instead you just take a scientifically-formulated enzyme capsule at the start of each meal, and you no longer have to worry about “off limits” foods or food groups.

In fact, as far as digestion and food intolerances are concerned, ALL foods are fair game with AbsorbMax™…even gluten-containing foods like pasta and breads due to our inclusion of GlutenGone™, a dynamic duo of 2 unique digestive enzymes (Aspergillopepsin and DPPIV) that has been shown in very recent research to be unmatched in its ability to fully digest gluten.

Get your LIFE back here:

And even better, I’m also going to include a FREE copy of my 7 Day Rapid Fat Loss Diet where I’ll show you exactly how to shed up to 10+ pounds of unwanted body fat in just ONE week while you gain control over food intolerances and digestive distress with AbsorbMax™.

Do NOT eat this for breakfast‏

Question:  Do you eat oatmeal for breakfast? While it certainly can be a solid, healthy option, most are heavily processed and absolutely TERRIBLE for you.

For example, lets look at a brand of "heart-healthy" instant oatmeal (their claim), the "Maple and Brown Sugar" flavor.

First, there is no maple in it. There is also no brown sugar in it. Instead, it's packed with artificial ingredients, colors, and flavors. It's also packed with regular sugar and I've even seen some varieties with the "flavor" gel packets full of high fructose corn syrup...talk about royally screwing up oatmeal!

This product also has a significantly higher glycemic index than regular "old fashioned oatmeal" due to it's instant nature where it's been pre-cooked via high-heat processing. This high heat processing also robs the oatmeal of many important vitamins and minerals, making it an overall less nutritious product.

So, if you're going to go with oatmeal, please stay away from the instant, processed, sugar-laden versions.

Instead, the best choice is plain ol' steel cut oats. While they take a few extra minutes to cook, it's certainly worth it for the lower glycemic index, extra fiber, and greater vitamin and mineral content...all while avoiding all that processed garbage.

Steel cut oats will also leave you feeling fuller, longer, and you'll probably find that you enjoy the more firm texture and nuttier flavor a LOT more than mushy instant oatmeal anyway.

The 4 BEST foods to eat before bed‏

You may have heard that eating before bed is a big-time "no no" for those looking to lose weight. In fact, you've probably even heard that eating late at night will undoubtedly cause you to GAIN weight...even worse!

Well, there's good news, and that good news is that not every food that you eat past 7PM will be automatically deposited to your butt, thighs, and love handles.

In fact, there are certain foods that you can eat as a late-night snack that can actually INCREASE your fatloss results! The key is knowing which foods to eat, and which to avoid, as the evening progresses.

Here's a good rule of thumb: Avoid carbs before bed in favor of slow-digesting high-quality protein.

Carbohydrate consumption causes significant rise in the storage hormone insulin, which also puts the breaks on fat-burning. That's a recipe for disaster in the late evening hours as your metabolism is winding down, but fortunately, slow-digesting protein isn't.

Instead, slow digesting proteins provide your body with a steady flow of amino acids throughout the night to help you recover from exercise and maintain your calorie-burning lean muscle as you lose fat.

Here are some of my top pre-bedtime choices:

1. White Meat Protein (not red meat) - White meat animal protein sources such as chicken and turkey are great pre-bed meal choices because they digest slowly and have a very low insulin release. These sources also promote the release of another hormone, glucagon, that assists the body with breaking down stored carbs and fat within your body to be burned for energy...a double win! Red meat has a significantly higher insulin response so it's best to avoid in the evening.

2. Cottage Cheese - Cottage cheese is very slow digesting and coats the stomach to be assimilated by the body over many hours. As a protein, it also stimulates glucagon release; a solid pre-bedtime choice. Just make sure you're using plain cottage cheese, not the flavored varieties with added sugars.

3. Green Vegetables - While these aren't considered a protein, they contain virtually no calories, are high in fiber, and they're very filling. Often times when I get a late night craving I eat a big bowl of green veggies and it completely kills my craving...a diet savior!

4. A Slow-digesting, Low-carb Protein Shake - I use a slow-digesting protein shake before bed literally every
BioTrustday. It's become somewhat of a ritual and great, tasty way to end my day. The vast majority of my clients have grown to love the habit as well...who doesn't love dessert before bed? :) I normally blend the shake with almond butter to get some healthy fats in there, and man, it tastes good with the right protein powder.

WARNING: Avoid taking a simple whey protein powder before bed...research has show that it causes more of an
insulin release than white bread! Instead, you need a time-released blend that includes a blend of slow-digesting, high-quality proteins.
